Reshaped: Day 7- Moses

In today’s reading, Moses was on a mountain with God ~ Wow! The man who spent 40 days and 40 nights on Mount Sinai with God was the same shepherd who argued with a burning bush in the desert. In Exodus 6:2-3, God explained to Moses how Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob knew Him only as God, but Moses would experience Him as Lord, a reference to vibrant intimacy. Incredible! And Moses surely did experience God as a close Father.

There is a remarkable difference in our relationship when we experience God through intimacy. Do you know Him intimately? Have you encountered Him? His way is light and airy, and yet His power is unmistakable. He is a warm and loving Father, and yet when His children cry out, He is a ferocious protector.

Prayer – Father, this day come to me in intimate ways. Show me things I’ve never encountered before. Surround me with Your peaceful presence and cloak me in Your comfort. I want to know You more. I want to experience You more fully. Be my Lord as You were for Moses. Amen
