Reshaped: Day 3- Moses

Obedience
Reading Exodus 4:18-20

Three hundred miles – that is the distance Moses traveled back to Egypt. The trip was long. Time surely added complexity to this journey since it gave Moses ample time to anticipate the coming confrontation with Pharaoh. No doubt his apprehension eclipsed his mind, setting forth wild imaginations. Nothing in the natural made sense. How could a stuttering man advanced in age convince the most powerful man in Egypt to let the Israelites go? Impossible…in the natural that is. But since when is God hemmed in by natural limitations?
With a staff in hand, Moses entered the vast city adorned with pyramids and beautiful architecture built on the backs of his own people. As we watch this man enter the elaborate city, let us remember that the staff in Moses’ hand was filled with God’s power – something that Pharaoh would come to know all too well.
